His debut in Bhutanese hiphop was the single “Chhap chab dha” with Kinley Wangmo produced by Jimmie Wangyal (Founder of Atsara Entertainment) in 2007. Chhap chab dha was recorded in SAE New York, a renowned audio engineering studio where even some songs of G unit were recorded there. Chhap chab dha was the first hip hop song to play on Bhutanese radio (Radio Valley).

In 2016, his song with the late Sonam Tobdhen “Tam Tshisum”https://soundcloud.com/sonam-rinzin/tam-tshisum?ref=clipboard (Prod. SR Studio) was the first Bhutanese hiphop song to feature in an international competition. It reached the semi finals in the category of World Music amongst 18000+ entries in ISC (International Songwriting Competition). Judges for this contest included renowned artists such as Avicii, Kesha and the Far East movement.

While he was doing his masters in Canberra Kinley was invited to LA twice; The first time in 2016, to audition for America’s got Talent and the second time in 2017, to compete in the top 64 World underground rap battle organized by Team Backpack.

In 2020 his music video “It’s Alright” with Leczin directed by Jigme Tenzing (cofounder of Stray Rochhi Pictures) has been selected to screen in New York Lift- Off Film Festival. The first Bhutanese music video to premiere in an international film festival.

In 2020 Kinley has released two songs that are blowing up right now in Bhutan with both songs collectively raking over 600k plays on YouTube and Sound Cloud. “Pa Wai” with Dhendup Tee Rabgyel recorded in M Studio and “Sem Chha Si” with Ken E and Karma Wangyel recorded in K3N Beats studio.

He shares, “never bothered myself competing with others I don’t care if people think this emcee is better than me or I’m better than him or her, my only competition is my current level. So my advise to aspiring emcees is stay original and practice! practice! practice! try to out best your current level. I’ve been rapping for more than 10 years and I still practice everyday.”
