JIMMY PALDEN WANGCHUK AKA. ALIEN ONE OF THE YOUNGEST RAPPER FROM BHUTAN AND IN BHUTANESE HIPHOP INDUSTRY.
Alien showcased interest in music from a very young age. “It’s because my dad was in the line of music too for a very long time”, he says.
He mentions how he had a keen interest in rock and metal music for a very long time. He highlighted ACDC, Guns n Roses and Europe as his there favorites.
Slowly, he started listening to rap songs and it evoked his interest. The first rap he listened to was "lose yourself " by Eminem . That was the exact moment, that spark of epiphany which made him realize the true importance of Hip Hop. He didn't listen to Bhutanese rap songs then because dzongkha rap songs didn’t captivate his interest.
He reminisces about a friend who would rap in Dzongkha and English. It was this friend who showered information and knowledge onto him regarding the Bhutanese rappers.
He states, “ I had personal problems which needed some solving. I expressed them all through my words and converted my weakness into strength. I started composing my own song by the age of 14.”

Alien recorded his first song at “Sevenslide Records”, a studio in Phuntsholing which also has a branch at Thimphu. The name of his first song was “cho chow" .
This rap basically expressed about his own regrets. It was his mom who helped him record his first song.

He then mentions regarding his uncle who had supported him financially for the audio recording and video shooting of his song, "Dokpa chi yeo" featured by Alu Tsagay and Sonam Gaylay Khandhu.

Gradually he started to listen to Indian rap.
A rapper name "Emiway Bantai" who is an independent artist motivated him to follow his footsteps because he does not depend on others and instead does everything by himself, i.e recording, editing, shooting etc .
Jimmy aka Alien started working in Pepsi factory temporarily so that he could pay for his own recording and shooting because he too wanted to become independent.

Now Jimmy is learning about music production ( recording, mastering and mixing) with the guide from YouTube. His brother had helped him to opened his own studio named as "2k studio" recently .
He had recorded and edited his own song from then onwards.

He claims to be an ordinary rapper but he has been creating waves in the Bhutanese Hip Hop arena, blessing him with lots of supporters.
He is representing TPSB "Truckparking Subg Bazar". It's their residential colony .
The TPSB members are the ones who had supported him and helped uplift his hip hop prowess and launch his rap career.
Presently, he has a rap crew known as "Drubi Pazaap". The first music and music video of the crew is still gaining popularity from the date of release
