I am  Rap kidd. Many of you may not know me.I would like to introduce my self first my name is Sujal Monger and I’m 16 years old and a rapper.I would like to share my story with all of you.

I was really interested in listening to music and the first rap I ever listened to was Eminem’s mockingbird. It was this song which really inspired me. I liked it so much, to the extent that i even tried learning it. Eventually,I started listening to more rap songs. I was just Seven when I started rapping.

I have performed at school events. I had no clue, I would be performing beyond.

So,as I turned 13 years old, as any normal day, I was just chilling and hanging out with my friends. They are great dancers and are popularly known as the "Half Dead Guys"

Out of the blue, the leader of "Half Dead Guys" came to me and he asked, “can you write a song yourself?” I was in an utter state of shock for a second and I waslike wow, no I don’t think I’ll be able to do that.

He said just try. Since I atleast had the knowledge of rap,he just gave me a beat and I started mumbling some words out. It was more like a freestyle and he said if I do it, he would record my performance. He took out his phone and I just like free styled some words out and he posted it on social media.

I was so excited because from that moment onwards I realized I would be able to write my own songs. Believe it or not, that single video of me rapping for like 1/2 minutes hit 14K in three days for me it was the biggest achievement because there was no 13 year old kid in Bhutan who had done that.

                           HALF DEAD GUYS WITH RAP KIDD.

 

Gradually, I started to write songs.The first song that i wrote was called LIFE. It was my first song on SoundCloud. This song basically talked about my life, my dreams, my problems and so on. I have 13 songs so far mostly in collaboration with the finest rappers, bustling with talent and also some equally wonderful singers.

Until now, I have performed in multiple platforms. The fact that I’ve entered the world of hip hop since 7 years old gave me tons of confidence to show my talent and I can proudly say I’m proud to be who I am today. 

It was nice knowing that people loved me and gave me so much support. There has been no turning back since my first song "life”. It was the moment I started to write and I’m still writing songs.

I know that most people still don’t know me, still, I'm very happy that atleast I am known as a rapper of Bhutan and that means a lot. Who ever I am today is all because of my family, friends, fans & acho Druk.Hats off to all of them for supporting me for who i am today.

GOAL : Firstly, I would like to make a huge and positive impact in the rap industry in Bhutan.
Secondly, I want to surpass the boundaries so that my voice can penetrate the various regions of the world, not just Bhutan.
Thirdly, I want to make it till billboards.


NOTE : I know that there are many people who are very talented but do not come out into the limelight . They are scared to show their talent because of low self esteem and the judgmental attitude some critics take up.Trust me, it just takes one long breath-let it go and just show it. You’ll make it, I promise you! I might be younger than you but I’ve seen how beautiful life can be and how worst it can get at times. I just want to let you all know that you should never give up.
