Dendup T Rabgyel's music career began when he was in Ugyen Academy, Bhutan.

He had come across so many uprising singers like Upsurge, O Strangers, Kelden lhamo and Sonam Wangchen. He became a huge fan of theirs and wanted to become like them,but he did not have the talent at first but he had trust in self.

P.C to the Subject.

He started to sing many Dzongkha songs from then onwards but got insulted many a times . Some even said he was a radio, but he had not taken it to heart he had taken every person's comment and insult in a positive way. He tried his very best. He did not loose hope one bit. He kept on trying.

He composed his first song and then he recorded it in Zhegyel studio..

The name of the song was Nam Guen gi Duehtshey. The song wasn't that good but it bought satisfaction to him and he felt nice recording the song. Thereafter he have officially recorded and released many songs. Many of them are hits in Bhutan till now.
